FROM THE CHAIRMAN'S DESK

Born in Okene on June 29, 1959, Hon. Justice Josiah Joe Majebi is a seasoned jurist, reformer, and devoted Christian leader. Called to the Nigerian Bar in 1984, he has served with distinction in the Kogi State Judiciary for over three decades, rising from State Counsel to Judge of the High Court in 1999, and appointed as Chief Judge of Kogi State in March 2023 after acting since June 2022.

A staunch advocate of integrity and transparency, Justice Majebi has presided over landmark corruption and election petition cases, earning commendations from the National Judicial Council and the Court of Appeal. His tenure as Chief Judge has brought unprecedented reforms, including financial restructuring, staff welfare improvements, new judicial directorates, infrastructural upgrades, and stronger institutional accountability.

Beyond the courtroom, he serves as a Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, a philanthropist, and a community leader, widely respected for his dedication to justice, fairness, and service.
